Solstice Time

I can’t believe it’s the 20th of June, and we are already at the longest day—time flies!

The start of summer. It’s a lovely time of year for flowers both in the fields and in the gardens, and perfect for a picnic—just take an umbrella, just in case!
Summer has been slow to get going here in the UK and elsewhere, but it finally seems to be here.

Of course, our friends down under will be celebrating their winter solstice in the early hours of the 21st of June with their shortest day and the start of their winter.
