❤️🌹❤️It’s Valentine’s Day❤️🌹❤️🌹

Today, as everybody will know, is Valentine's Day. Love and romance fill the air, chocolates and flowers, cards and gifts to people we love, followed by a nice romantic candlelit dinner for two, something nice or just at home. Either is good in my book.

Every year, thousands of people pay a fortune for cards and gifts for their loved ones. Personally, I don't think you need a special day to show people you love them. Every day is special with the person you love.

The history of this special day has a lot of mystery about it. Tradition says it is 14th February, but in fact, the whole of February is a time for love and romance, so bring it on!

Valentine’s Day is not actually a modern holiday but has been celebrated in the middle of the month of February for more than 1500 years. The first Valentine’s Day was established by Pope Gelasius. Pope Gelasius decided to get rid of the Feast of Lupercalia, a pagan festival of love, and chose to replace it with a celebration in honour of St. Valentine, who was martyred a couple hundred years prior.

Despite everything else, it is a day to celebrate and splash out and spend a fortune on cards and flowers. There is nothing nicer than receiving red roses on this day, which makes you feel special.
