Wood Carving

Wood is a beautiful medium to work with. I am sure a lot of us have whittled away at a piece of wood with a knife or made some sort of wooden model, maybe from a kit.

Special tools and a steady hand are required for professional wood carving.

But some people take things to a much higher level in every way, using a chainsaw!!

And the results can be astonishing.
A large log or old tree stump in your garden can suddenly become a beautiful work of art!!

It is amazing how much detail there is in these carvings and there are fairs and competitions for chainsaw carving.

So, today, let’s have some fun sharing all manner of wood carvings, big or small, and perhaps, share pictures of any we have made or just own.
