๐๐๐Happy Guy Fawkes Day๐๐๐
'Remember remember the 5th November, gunpowder treason and plot , I see no reason why gunpowder treason, should ever be forgot. ' Hear hear!!
No, nothing really happened that was intended, but it almost did and, therefore, deserves to be celebrated.
That poem conjures up memories of childhood and penny for the guy, which sadly has now been banned. Fireworks as soon as Dad came home from work, and burnt jacket spuds done in the fire. We loved the fireworks and loved running around holding sparklers. Those were the days, and they were fun. We always had a Guy Fawkes party when married, and they were great, but not had one for quite a few years now.
Never had one on a beach though
Nowadays, it is cheaper and safer to go to a fireworks display. Again, we are lucky we can stand in the bedroom window and see the fireworks in the distance, we never get bothered with them round here, too remote. But I always think must get some indoor sparklers and forget!
