🐰👒🐣Happy Easter🐰👒🐣

Well, it's that time of year again, bring out the hot cross buns and the Easter eggs.
It is also an important weekend in the Christian calendar.

Good Friday is the day for hot cross buns, and although they are available all year round, I only buy them at Easter and then the ordinary ones.
The new flavours, to me, are not hot cross buns.

Good Friday also has a serious side, and all over the world Christians ponder and remember Jesus being crucified. It is an important day in the Christian calendar, and there are Church services all over the place.

I do like mine a bit spicy

Easter Saturday to most of us is just another ordinary day, while we sit and wait for our Easter Eggs on the Sunday, but again, it’s an important day for Christians. Again, it’s a day of meditation, with the lighting of the Paschal Candle, and the First Eucharist of Easter. It is also called Holy Saturday.

Easter Sunday
About time; now we can eat our Easter eggs and even go on an organised Easter Egg hunt, which sounds great fun.  The traditional food for Easter Sunday is roast lamb, if you have any room left after eating the eggs. It is also the day in the Christian Calendar that Jesus rose from the dead. The shops are also closed today.

Yes, please!

Easter Monday is a Bank Holiday over here. It is celebrated differently all over the world, with parades, reflection by some, and competitions like egg rolling.

There is a lot more to Easter, but this gives you a rough guide. Whatever you do, have a very happy Easter weekend!
