😺😸 Happy Cat Month😺😸
A lot of us have, or have had cats. They really are wonderful creatures and one of the most popular pets.
They are furry and adorable and take command of us as their willing slaves. They can be very loving and playful or don't want to know. But they all have their own character, and to me, the best is a black cat. But they all deserve to be happy and well cared for.
They have lived alongside humans for a long time and were once treated as Gods. Their purpose is companionship and pest control, and they make a great difference in our lives.
Happy Cat month celebrates all they have done and reminds us we should make sure they are happy.
The month is to help us understand about their health, welfare, and the importance of companion cats. They are not self-reliant but don't need the attention and molly-coddling dogs do. They are social animals, and are entitled to all the love and care we can give them, including adequate vet treatment as and when needed. Before taking on any animal you should consider the cost, cos things happen and you may be faced with expensive vet bills. So make sure you can afford to keep these animals in the style to which they are accustomed!
This month gives us a chance to look at things like the food we give them. Is it decent, wholesome food? And cats, like us get bored with the same food all the time. It needs changing around. So watch to see if your cat has gone off their food. Some are very fussy about food and hate the same thing all the time, and don’t fool yourself that you can put something down they don’t want as many times as you like. Don't think they will come round, cos they won't. They will starve themselves. They also like treats and often want to eat what you are eating.
Check their beds. Are they comfy and clean?
Do they have toys to play with, and a cat climber or scratching post?
Most of all, give your cat attention, and then is a good chance to brush it as well.
So, let's make sure our cats are happy all the time, not just this month, and post all things cat related.
